WSJT-X (newest Version) receiving fine, CAT working, but transmitting 0.0w for QSOs and Tune in WSJT-X, manual Tune & USB SSB transmits mornal watts.
do you have the g90 in U-D mode?
(cycle the mode button until it moves from usb to u-d. this moves the input to the rear jack instead of the mic jack)
double check the soundcard/audio device selection in wsjt-x.
(i would also try LEFT as the output channel instead of right or both)
also in wsjt-x, there is a ‘remember power settings’ for each band/tune i think.
you might disable that while testing.
good luck

Thanks for the reply!
In U-D mode
Sound card input/output both set to Left
Unchecked both transmit and tune under power settings by band.
All Digirig cables are from Digirg.
Same result, 0.0w out

ok, lets try another approach ![]()
do you have a set of stereo ear buds/headphones that you can plug into the audio jack of the digirig?
you should get audio in the headphones when you click the ‘tune’ button in wsjt-x
i’m sure you’ve checked the windows mixer as well for the digirig entry. 90% is a good starting point for the output.
there is also the ‘LIN IN’ or L-IN (line in) setting in the g90 set menu but i’d like to see if we get audio from the digirig into some headphones first

good luck

i have a g90 and an x5105 that i use with a digirig mobile and laptop so i thought i could just pop pop, and get you running.

maybe @K0TX Denis can help.
you should not hear the receive signal from the radio in the headphones because you unplugged the radio from the digirig in order to plug the headphones in. so no receive audio should be present at the digirig device jack.
there isn’t a ‘path’ from the radio to the digirig audio device.
you should hear tones when you click ‘TUNE’ because the headphones are plugged into the digirig.
if the digirig audio device has been selected correctly in wsjt-x, you should hear tones when you click ‘tune’ but not when receiving. the radio isn’t connected to the soundcard when headphones are plugged into the digirig instead of the audio+ptt cable.

Thanks! Well, signals are decoding fine but I think I need to review all my Win11 settings. I have the digirig Serial plugged into the G90 Comms port beneath the headphone jack. The digirig audio is connected to the ACC plug on the back of the G90. I think I have a configuration/software issue so I’ll review the whole PC config process and let you know - this is likely some simple sw item I have missed somewhere. Thanks for your patience while I try to get up to speed on the PC sw side!
Bob,
With the signals decoding we can tell that the receive audio works normally. One of the troubleshooting techniques for the transmit audio involves plugging in the headphones into Digirig’s audio socket while using software’s TUNE command. This allows us to confirm that Digirig sends out the tone. From what I’m reading it sounds like you attempted this test, but plugged the headphones into the radio instead. Please see this video for the demonstration:
Thanks, working through that video seems to have done the trick! I had the Default settings of the sound devices on the pc set incorrectly, so now I have watts out showing correctly on the G90 when I select TUNE in WSJT-X!! Thanks so much for your patience and assistance!!! Bob, WBØWIF
