This one is a bit different from the other G90 problems I’ve read here. I’m trying to get my G90 to work with FLRIG through my Digirig. I set the radio for G90, baud rate 19,200, 2 stop bits and the correct com port - I verified the com port by unplugging the USB cable and seeing it drop off the Device Manager screen then come back up when I plug it back in. I know the USB cable is working as well as the Digirig as I can use Winlink/Vara HF with zero problems. Vara sees the G90 and everything works as it should. It’s just FLRIG that keeps telling me that the receiver is not responding and to check the Com port - which I’ve done and know it’s right. I’ve watched just about every video online, searched all the forums and I’m doing everything they say to do. I even went into the Com port properties screen and made sure that the Com port baud rate was set to 19,200. What now? Windows 11 on a laptop. I just updated the firmware on the G90 to the latest version, 1.81. I also deleted FLRIG and installed the latest version, 2.0.10.
Are you using Digirig/G90 serial CAT control capabilities with VaraHF? If you only use audio and PTT then VaraHF working is not indicative of a successful serial CAT control. To see if the issue is localized to FlRig/FlDigi you can try WSJT-X and see if you can make it work with your G90.
