Hamlib error: Command rejected by the rig

Rig sometimes works, sometimes throws this error while my radio flip flops around between bands. This is using wsjt-x. I’ll provide a video if needed to show what happens on my radio.

IC-737a, digirig mobile CI-V

I suspected RF in the shack, so I added a choke 6 feet from my tuner (not at the antenna side). No change. I also tried a ferrite on my usb cable, then a much shorter 12 inch usb cable. No change. My next move is to put the choke at the antenna side of my coax run, but I’ll wait to see what y’all have to say first.

Happy to provide whatever settings / screenshots / things you might need to help diagnose.

RFI manifests itself during the transmit. If that’s the case then choke on the antenna feedline should improve the situation.

It happens immediately upon launching WSJT-X so that rules that out.

Progress, and thank you.

If the error pops up during receive then it’s not RFI. Try different serial port adjustments like different baud rates in both radio and in WSJT-X, different stop bit counts etc. Another option is to use middleware CAT control software which will silently retry any failed commands.
