Has anyone had luck connecting a DigiRig Lite to a tyt-th-9800d

Has anyone had any luck connecting a DigiRig Lite or Mobile to a TYT-TH-9800D?

I am using the suggested YAESURJ12MOBILE Yaesu RJ-12 Cable for Digirig Mobile

I have tried both the Lite and Mobile and looked through the TYT manual for any options I may have missed. All to no avail.

Any ideas?

Can you elaborate on “no avail” part by specifying which functionality didn’t work in your experimentation?

  • Audio from transceiver to the computer
  • Audio from computer to the transceiver
  • PTT

I made a cable for a TYT MD9600 and it works well.

The Md9600 and the Md9800 I believe have the same pinout.

Yes. I have used the mobile digirig successfully on that radio a lot. If you send more about whats going on, your equipment, software, settings, I believe I can help get you up and running.

The rest of the setup is going to depend on what type of computer you are using, and what software you want to run.

It just does not make the handshake with my winlink node station.
I do hear it broadcasting on an additional radio but the node does not pick it up.
My settings are just as they are for sending from a baofeng with the baofeng cable. That works great.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Just to clarify: you are able to transmit and receive through it, but the winlink node just won’t pick it up?
