Help with I Phone and digirig lite

I just purchased the digirig lite to interface between an I phone with the new JS8 firefly app and a QRP Labs QDX. Tried various settings starting with the JS8 firefly recommended settings from its Git Hub, but no luck. Wondering if anybody has had success with this arrangement and could share there settings.

the qdx doesn’t have any audio input/outputs for the digirig lite to plug into.
it uses a single usb port to provide audio + cat/remote control.

am i reading your equipment list wrong?
