How to convert DR-891 to mobile Logic level

Hello, I saw a video by Denis explaining how to change the configuration of the digirig via the pads on the board.

Does anyone have the process to take a DR-891 to logic level mobile.

DR-891 doesn’t have serial port; it passes USB connection through to FT-891 which has its own USB-to-serial interface.

Thanks. Am I correct to assume I can still use the DR-891 for radios that do not need CAT control, ie use only the audio port like a Yaesu FT5DR HT? I have the Digirig cables for this already. Just had a good deal on the DR-891 from a club member.

Yes, DR-891’s audio side is a functional equivalent of Digirig Lite:
