Is there a method to test the functionality of the Digirig Lite?
When I plug the Digirig Lite into my laptop PC, a popup message “USB device not rcognized The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.” It also does not display in any USB audio devices in Device Manager.
When I plug it into my Android (Motorola Moto g 2025), and I attempt to start a session, I get the message “Failed to locate specified port for USB RTS PTT functionality”.
I have been using this device with no issues (aside from initial configuration) for about one year. It is a great device, but it just stopped working. Please let me know what I should try next. Thanks.
There is not much that can be done about “USB device not recognized” message as far as the software goes. The system doesn’t have a chance to properly communicate with the periphery.
It is possible that there is some issue with the USB connection like one of the data lines no longer connected. If you are of DIY type, you can carefully open the enclosure by sliding a sharp blade into the crack between the two halves and slowly widen it around perimeter. This will allow you to inspect the cable connection to the PCB. If you want nothing to do with this, you can reach out via the support form to request the service for your Digirig Lite.
