I guess it's dead?

After some months, I got out my tr(u)sdk and digirig lite, only to find out it isn’t working any longer.

To troubleshoot, I checked if the host could see the USB device. I tried Linux, Windows, and Android. None sees it. Windows shows an error in the device manager (unknown device) and lsusb on Linux shows that the device is seen but isn’t replying to setup:

I bought the digirig lite in September 2025 and have used it about 5 or 6 times. Surprising to see it die after so little use.

Maybe I broke it somehow? I imagine repair would be an expensive exercise in shipping and waiting. Time to consider ordering a new one?

If none of the computers detect it, it is unlikely a software issue.

You can inspect the wiring on the USB side of the interface by using a sharp blade (xacto knife or box cutter) to gradually widen the gap around the perimeter of the enclosure until it opens.

Ah ha! The green wire is not connected to the board.

In fact, it was over near the white wire’s termination before I took this pic:

That checks out. Is this something you can handle locally?

If not, please reach out via the support form on the website with a service request.

I can re-attach green to DM.

Alright.. so far, so good…
