When I set up the soundmodem and send calibration tones, the radio transmits the tones. However, when I attempt to transmit using winlink express, The radio goes into transmit but no sound is sent, I have work on this for 4 days now without success.
I do not have your radio, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Have you set Winlink Packet Session → Settings to communicate with soundmodem?
Yes, it opens soundmodem. It puts the radio into transmit but no sound is transmitted.
Here is the screen shot from WINLINK Express:
*** Starting WL2K packet session…
*** Launching C:\Users\Servo\OneDrive\Desktop\soundmodem.exe
*** Soundcard modem is running.
*** Initializing KISS; port COM4; 9600 baud
*** Initialization complete
*** Ready
OK, I am at a disadvantage without your radio. I think the control defaults to Band B. I do not rely on the calibration tones for setting packet operation with my VHF/UHF radios.
Are the devices in Soundmodem → settings → Devices set to the Digirig USB audio devices? Are these devices enabled in Win OS sound settings?

I just found the issue… In the WINLINK settings I had the KISS port set to COM4. When I changed it to TCP it began to work correcly. Thanks for your time.
