IC-7000 + DigiRig + FLRig

Hey all,

I recently acquired an IC-7000 and a digirig to go with it. I’ve been trying to get it to work on my windows computer via FLRig for use with WJST-X and WinLink to no avail. I have everything setup physically, but FLRig provides an error prompt stating the radio failed to initialize, but it will trigger the PTT to TX and leave it there. The only way to get it to stop TX is by unplugging the DigiRig from the computer.

Any advice or would anyone care to share their setting parameters with this radio?

FlRig is quite complicated to configure from first try.
I would recommend setting up direct connection from WSJT-X before moving to more advanced options. Please keep us posted on your progress.

So, I went through the troubleshooting guide. I can get audio into WJST-X just fine, but CAT Control is not working whatsoever

Check that the angled jack is in the correct socket, it’s easy to miss

What is the error message you get from WSJT-X?

So, I believe it ended up being an issue with the angled jack. It ended up buffing out, for a bit. I am now experiencing another issue, but I’ll make an additional forum post about it.

The settings used in WJST-X with the IC-7000 that was effective:

Baud = 19200

Data Bit = Default

Stop Bit = 2

Handshake = Default

No Force Control Lines

PTT Method = CAT

Mode = Data/PKT

Split Operation = Rig
