Ic-706mkiig and icom At-180 tuner and digirig

Hello,
Just purchased the digirig and cables for the ic-706mkiig. I noticed that one of the cables has a 13pin din that connects to the digirig. My problem is this, my at-180 tuner uses this port and am using an EFRW antenna that must be used with a tuner. How can i run digital with the digirig and the tuner at the same time when i only have the one port on the radio? Can you please help me with this configuration. I noted that there is a 6pin mini but that looks like its for packet radio. Did i buy the wrong cables?

For HF modes in your IC-706 Digirig needs to be connected to 13 pin accessory port for audio and PTT. I doubt the tuner uses audio lines from your radio so theoretically you should be able to hook both accessories to that port with some sort of a “Y”-splitter.

I found this discussion on the subject, that may be relevant:

The alternative is to interface the radio via the mic/headphones ports.

On my IC-7000 I can use either of the DIN jacks, but I don’t know if that’s the case with its predecessor the IC-706. I run the 6 pin DIN as my DR Mobile termination, plus it provides a 9600 packet rate vs the standard 1200—if you can find a 9600 packet station to connect to however… Not to be confused with 9600 COM port rate.

A quick check of the manual should show you the pinouts of your DIN, and if required DigiRig does sell a cable for either one.
