The GX16 cable in the Digirig store is:
Kenwood, Alinco GX16 Mic Cable for Digirig Mobile – digirig
Is that a good starting point?

It looks like the Icom IC-730 is listed in this post by Denis @K0TX
has same connection, different pinout than the Kenwood, Alinco, Elecraft, etc.

According to this resource, the mic pinout for IC-730 looks like this:
This doesn’t appear to match the two types of the GX16-8 cable pinouts currently available in Digirig store.
If you are interested in building a homebrew cable the pinout will be:
GX16 pin 1 (MIC) → 3.5mm TRRS ring1 (RIG_AFIN)
GX16 pin 5 (MIC) → 3.5mm TRRS ring2 (RIG_PTT)
GX16 pin 6 (EARTH) → 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)
Either:
GX16 pin 8 (Ext Speaker) → 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)
or
1/4" TRS tip (PHONES) → 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)
Thanks for that KOTX. I notice that the Icom Microphone has a pre-amp in it. Do you think there will be enough output out of the Digirig to drive the audio? I’ll make a up lead and give it a try anyhow.
There’s plenty of range when it comes to Digirig’s output levels. I don’t recall a case when it was insufficient so chances are good it will work with your radio as well.
you can use the ACC port in the back.
you would have to build your own cable for it as it uses a molex ‘block’.
i built a molex to 6 pin din female.
this gave the ic-730 a standard packet jack to work with.
good luck
