IC2730 winlink not working with digirig lite

I have the:

Icom IC2730

Digirig lite

Windows 11

Latest registered winlink

Latest registered VARA FM

I cannot send or receive emails

I setup the digirig lite as in this link: https://digirig.net/digirig-lite-setup-manual/

This is in the log of VARA

The audio input is around 50 to 75% in the green. (Icom 2730 volume is around 50%)

I experimented with audio out from 50% up to 100% with no prevail.

I am stuck now.

Any help would be appreciated.

most likely your station is ‘ok’ and there is another issue at work.
(the vara ‘log’ shows a connection and a speed for the connection so you’re getting there even if it’s not dialed in for peak performance)

VARA software version mismatch with the server you’re connecting to.
the server you’re connecting to isn’t connecting to a CMS.

it’s very low chance but can you remove your VARA license info and try to pass traffic.

lastly, winlink express should have logged the session as well and may have more info.

I removed the VARA lisence still the issue persists.

you’ve selected a radio only session.
this will only send messages marked radio only, it will not pass normal messages.
also, the gateway must accept radio only messages and be able to pass them via radio.

i would try a normal message with a normal winlink session to a normal winlink gateway and see if you can pass any traffic.
top of the drop down session list, not the middle of the drop down session list.
(i don’t know what the capabilities of the gateway you’re using so i’m just guessing)
