Icom 7000. Digirig

I’m new to Digirig.

I’m setting up my Icom 7000. I’m not getting any readings on VARA FM VU meter. When I use Auto tune, it keys the transmitter. The settings are the same as my Icom 9700 that doesn’t need a sound card. I am using the suggested Digirig cables.

Do I need to preform the circuit board modifications?

I can’t figure it out after weeks of trying. Very frustrating.

What was your result with “listen” feature of the recording device for FM? Anything different when doing that on HF?
