Trying to help a friend with an ICOM IC-2100H not sure which of the Digi Rig mobile which CAT configuration I should direct him towards
Thank you,
Bob K7MHJ
the ic-2100h doesn’t have CI-V (remote control) capability so no need to get a CI-V digirig mobile. my advice would be the logic levels digirig. definitely not the rs232 digirig.
now, that said, that radio could use a digirig lite just fine.
the lite uses a different ptt method though (no onboard serial port)
cm108/ra-board/gpio or vox (digirig lite internal vox, not on the radio itself)
clear as mud?

Thank you!

I used one for winlink and NBEMS VHF with an IC-2200 (same pin out) using a Digirig when Denis first started making them. KB0WLF is right. Get it at logic levels as you won’t need CAT. If you are making your own cables, you can use my diagram. If you are buying cables from Denis, you are good to go. I made mine originally as cables weren’t available yet for many of the ICOM mobiles with RJ-45. Denis has some nice cables. I recommend them for most folks… unless you are an avid DIY person who really prefers building.
