We use Motorola EVX-S24 hand held radios on a church safety team and would like to begin using the Zello app on our phones. Some of us would use Zello and others would use the radios but we need to communicate with each other. Would a digirig be a good choice to connect to a Windows desktop PC and the TRRS headset jack on a radio? Which digirig model should we select and is there a cable we can purchase or are there instructions for building one? Thanks!
does the zello desktop have a ‘port’ for connecting a radio?
(audio in/out + ptt method)
i’m not familiar with zello but thought the desktop program/dispatch just connected to the ‘group’ and you had to mouse click to ‘talk’

the dr-mobile supports RTS PTT
the dr-lite supports GPIO/RA-BOARD/CM-108 PTT (as well as onboard vox)
if the radios you use have their own vox, that might work but i can just about guarantee the VOX trigger performance would be disappointing in regular use.
