Is my DigiRig Broken? Trouble Shooting help

I need some help deciding if my DigiRig 1.9 has failed.

I have used this digirig successfully on a Yaesu FT-300 and an Anytone At-D578UVIIIPlus. I took it out of service for a couple of months. I then tried to use it again on the Anytone. It has failed to provide audio to VARA FM. Everything seems OK until I plug the audio cable from the radio into the DigiRig. It then goes red with no audio.

I have worked through all the trouble shooting checklists. I also bought a new cable. Nothing seems to work. Any additional trouble shooting ideas?

I’m guessing that “going red” means that the radio switches from receive to transmit. Is that correct? The radio is not expected to provide audio while transmitting.

Now the objective is to figure out what keys up the radio.

Thank you for your reply and Happy Thanksgiving. I need to never post when I don’t take the time to be specific.

When I refer to going red I am referring to the audio input guage in Vara FM. When I start VARA with the digirig plugged into the serial post I get a -40 db Yellow input guage. When I plug the radio into the digirig audio port, the Vara Input guage goes to a red audio input of Zero 0.

Sometimes playing with the plug can make it jump. Should I disassemble the digirig to check the audio plug of the digirig? I am wondering now if I damged it some how. I really don’t have a work bench anymore so I am very limited in what I can do.

are there any changes to the input ‘meter’ when adjusting the volume sliders (in the windows audio control panel) of the digirig soundcard?

the meter movement is probably just the difference between unterminated and terminated (not plugged in, plugged in)

good luck

No adjusting volume sliders in teh radio or the sound card make no difference. I think I will take it apart, something I have been trying to avoid and see if there is anything visibly wrong inside.
