KENWOOD TRC-80 + Digirig Mobile

For doing digital modes on the KENWOOD TRC-80 with the Digirig mobile I’m wondering what CAT config I would need to use in the Digirig mobile.
Here is the TRC-80’s computer interfacing info:

Also I am wondering which of the accessory pins from the radio I would need to connect to which of the Digirig mobile data pins.
appreciation for the help

From manual:

COMPUTER ↔ RADIOTELEPHONE INTERFACE
The TRC-80 interfaces easily with a computer by using the optional lF-232C Interface Unit.

from Google:

  • IF-232C Function:
The IF-232C acts as a voltage converter, changing the signal levels from the computer’s RS-232 port to the TTL levels expected by the Kenwood transceiver.

Based on above I’d go with Logic Levels configuration of Digirig Mobile if you plan to use serial function of the transceiver (optional). Digirig’s logic levels are 3.3V, but it’s tolerant of 5V levels.

ok, thank you very much for the answer!

Given the Acc 1 connector used for the TRC-80 (the DIN 6 port) what pins of the DIN 6 port should I attach to which pins of the Digirig Mobile Serial TRRS port for CAT control of the TRC-80 radio?

So I just did some more research, and although it took some digging I think I have figured out the necessary wiring for the DIN 6 to Digirig cable, please confirm if this is correct:

DIN pin 1 GND - Sleeve GND
DIN Pin 2 TXD - R1 RIG_TXD
DIN Pin 3 RXD - Tip RIG_RXD
DIN Pin 4 CTS connect to DIN Pin 5 RTS

The Digirig serial side checks out. Worth a try.
Please post your results if you decide to give it a go.
