Hi Kyle,

Thanks for adding to my post about fixing Kenwood issues to make Digirig work or work better. I’ll be honest, I’m still pretty new at this stuff and I wasn’t quite sure what you were talking about. But I searched and found that your problem was not unique. Apparently you did exactly the right thing to correct your audio issue. See:

The audio from my FT-817 is too high and cannot be adjusted lower using the regular level controls. I took apart my digirig mobile to see if I could cut the trace between the ATT pads, but I do not see a trace. Does it come precut or do I just not see the trace?

Thankfully, I don’t have THAT audio issue. My audio issue is one of low volume. It must be a bad or marginal speaker or speaker cable within my TS-440S. Volume is more than adequate with headphones through the headphone jack, and I get some improvement with a small, amplified external speaker through the rear external speaker jack. But since I only use this radio for FT-8, and I keep the volume at bare minimum, my issue is non-impacting at this time.
