Kenwood Ts 480 sat cat control IO error

I have searched many places and cannot information, and not even the radios users manual provides any info, for what I am looking for.

Plugged in the serial cable today for cat control on the kenwood ts 480 sat, and set the wsjtx software radio control tab per specifications. The ptt test button does not even activate. while the cat control test button does. Every time I try to test it it comes back with an io error, and a timeout message. Is there something I am missing within the radios settings or the software settings?

I was able to get my Kenwood TS-570s to key using RTS and the com port of the digirig modem. It keys the rig using the ACC2 port plug without the DigiRigs db-09 cable plugged into the Kenwoods serial port.

I was not able to get the CAT freq change to work.

Did your setup change the frequancy via CAT control??
