Hi,
I just started using a Digirig Mobile RS232 with a Kenwood TS-B2000 (headless TS-2000).
When I connect the Digirig DB9 and ACC2 (DIN 13) cables to the Kenwood, digital modes are working just fine with CAT control, audio, and PTT all working.
But when the Digirig is connected, the mic and key both stop responding. I read in the manual that the ACC2 jack has two pins for PTT: one that disables the mic, and one that doesn’t. What pin is the Digirig ACC2 cable using? And why would the mic be disabled even if the PTT on that cable isn’t active?
Has anyone dealt with this? My hacky workaround right now is to disconnect the audio cable for CW or voice, and reconnect it when I want digi modes. But I’d rather leave it connected all the time - this radio is meant for headless use in my car, and fiddling with the cables makes cable routing and changing modes way more difficult.
Edit: I figured out that this seems to just be a problem with the control Software (ARCP2000). When I opened WSJTX and had the CAT control and audio running, my CW paddles still produced a sidetone.
So, I guess my options are to 1) unplug the audio cable when I use ARCP2000, 2) use a USB to serial cable just for ARCP2000, and use the Digirig for audio only (no CAT), or 3) use something like FLRIG and connect my Digi mode software to it as a virtual rig.
