KX3 / Digirig / Winlink / ARDOP - Transmit Locking up or not engaging/transmitting

Good evening. I appreciate you all being here in this community.

I have been successful with a home-soldered DIY cable for my Digirig / KX3 combination. I have full functionality with; Fldigi PSK31 with FLDIGI follows the rig dial OK, as well as the reverse. And N1MM tracks just as nicely both ways.

Winlink Ardop does not play nicely, as it is set up. I’m hoping someone can offer some guidance. I’ve tried a number of permutations, but it often just locks up in Transmit, and does not put out any Power. I have appended the latest version of the configurations settings.

If there is anyone who has a successful configuation setup for ARDOP, I’d appreciate any insights.

I eventually found the problem to the TX Lock-up.

Software is all OK, however I find that by merely backing out the TRRS Transmit (red) jack that goes in the body of the KX3 by about 1/8 inch (one “bump”), the whole digital experience executes as expected.

I know that the wiring of the cable DIY pinout, as published is correct - checked and re-checked. I also know that the jack in the rig works correctly with the elecraft Mic - so there is no suspicion there.

Anyway, the problem is solved, though the mystery remains. If I find anything new - I’ll report back, but I’m OK now.
