Well, I finally got around to making the cable and trying it out. I used a HP tablet with WSJT-X/FT8 hooked up to a AN/GRC-213 with a 16’ Military Whip. Receive worked immediately, but it took a bit of head scratching and testing to get the transmit settings figured out. Made contacts right off the start. Pleasantly surprised it all worked. Things like this usually take me days or weeks to figure out.

A limited prototype run of this cable is available in store:
Been wanting to do an update for a while but life kept getting in the way.
Even tho I made a cable I decided to get one the digirig made cables and one of the new smaller digirigs. Tried them out on the GRC-213 and a PRC-104 and everything worked great.
Great news. I have to cable too, but didn’t find the time to test ![]()

Does anyone know of this works with the Digirig Lite and the Sheepdog NX-3300 6-pin QD Radio Adapter?
My Digirig U-329 audio/PTT cable arrived today. Very impressed with its build quality. Anyone try this with a PRC-2200? I’m just wondering whether I configure the Digirig Mobile at default (logic levels or RS232)? Anyone have any suggestions re this? 73 Greg VA7BC
Glad you like the cable. There are no serial lines in the cable so the configuration of Digirig Mobile doesn’t matter. It can be Digirig Lite too.
Thanks Denis. I’ll use my Digirig Lite in that case.

Did you have problems with impedance mismatch between your computer output and the PRC-104, and have you tried this setup on other digital modes? I have a PRC-104B that I want to run digital modes on.
Thanks!

No problems with any audio impedance if that is what you are referencing. The Digirig handles that. The only digital modes I have tried are FT8 and JS8Call with my 104B. I’ve been trying to figure out MARS digital, but that has been issues with the digital modem software and not this setup.
