Need cable advice for IC-207 (won't PTT with cable bought)

I bought a cable for my Digirig to go with the Icom IC-207H. That cable is no longer listed on the website.

Edit: it is this cable: MiniDin6 direct to computer 1200 baud audio cable

It has a 6-pin mini-DIN plug that goes into the back of the radio and has 2 cables with three conductors each that come out and plug into the Digirig.

From what I understand, and saw in a Digirig YouTube video, this cable should key the radio by grounding the audio (speaker) line. However, this radio has a dedicated PTT pin. It transmits if I ground that pin (tested) but not if I ground audio.

Do I need to get the Icom cable that plugs into the RJ-45 jack instead? That cable is the recommended one for this radio but I thought I already bought a compatible cable. Is there any way to modify the digirig or cable to ground the correct pin?

The cable in question is still available in store, but it’s not a cable intended for use with Digirig interfaces, not does it support any PTT functionality (see product page for details and disclaimers). If you plan to use your ICOM with Digirig, this is the correct cable:

That one is for 9600 baud. For 1200, I’m hoping the RJ-45 Icom cable will work. It seems to be the only option.

You can operate 1200 baud digital modes via 9600 baud audio path. The only applications I wouldn’t recommend for it is voice.

If you prefer to use MiniDin6 cable wired for 1200 baud, you can find it in this kit:
