Need Some Configuration Help with Digirig and VARA HF

I am having issues with my Digirig setup using Winlink Express and VARA HF. My Digirig is working fine on all other modes. I have a Digirig Mobile and an ICOM M803. My Digirig works fine with the setup using FLDIGI and other modes.

I am getting good CAT control through the serial line through Digirig

I am getting Audio into the VARA HF modem via Digirig

I tested the cable using Denis’ recommendation of shorting the plug and I get TX at the radio through the Digirig cable to radio.

This is software setting in Winlink and VARA HF I am not getting right. I have tried a little of everything. I should say I had it working a year ago, but with new computer now and did not save all the settings properly.

what ptt method have you selected in the vara hf software ?

I have tried just about everything. I have included a screen grab of the lastest attempt. I am using Digirig Mobile and all Digirig branded cables. The setup works fine on other software programs.

RTS should not be checked under the radio control settings, just the ptt settings

i have KISS interface checked in vara hf settings

what “isn’t working” with winlink/vara hf ?

The PTT is not working to the radio so no TX or no Test Tones. The receive audio from radio to VARA HF is working and rig control from Winlink is working through the Digirig. I will try KISS and uncheck RTS.
