@K0TX when you come back from break, could you design, engineer, produce a digirig mobile with an onboard bluetooth module that passes audio and a comport please.
then all my radios could hookup to the phone without a usb cable.

Happy to help with this. Fair amount of embedded hardware and software dev experience. Let’s shoe-horn an ESP32 in there, it can emulate a CM108 for USB users, and provide Bluetooth and or WiFi connectivity for wireless users.
