Ptt to key exterinal relay

can the digirig be mod to key a relay for a seperate receive ant?

you’ll have to build your own transistor + relay circuit.

you can use the digirig mobile to ground the base of the transistor which will activate the relay.

you’ll have to provide the +V to the transistor/relay circuit of course.

tnx for the reply, where on the digirig board can the ptt sig be found to triger the transistor ?

i’d just use a trrs y cable and get the ptt from the digirig mobile audio + ptt jack.

looks like ptt is labeled on the board itself.

Digirig’s PTT circuit is an open collector. You can high-side power relay’s solenoid and attach the other end of the coil to Digirig’s PTT. It will pull to the ground when activated energizing the coil.
