Radioddity QT80 // Anytone-AT6666PRO

Found this unanswered post from 2022 https://forum.digirig.net/t/cable-for-anytone-at-6666/312.

The newly released (last week) Radioddity QT80 & Anytone AT-6666PRO share the same 6pin mic input that the aforementioned Anytone AT-6666 runs. Page 9 of the QT80 Manual shows a similar diagram.

I have received following from the coughcompetitorcough:

Based on what we see in the radio manual, this radio should work just fine with SLUSB6R

Considering digirig is a fraction of the price, I’d love to support this company instead. Is there anything in the works for this type of mic input for 10M bands?

Here’s the image of the pinout from the linked manual:

Based on that the audio cable will look like this:

GX16-6 pin 1 (MIC) → 3.5mm TRRS ring 1 (RIG_AFIN)
GX16-6 pin 3 (PTT) → 3.5mm TRRS ring 2 (RIG_PTT)
GX16-6 pin 5 (GND) → 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)

not clear if EXT. AF is the received audio. If it is then:
GX16-6 pin 2 (GND) → 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)
otherwise
3.5mm TRS tip (EXT.SP) → 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)

K0TX, I appreciate the quick followup. I had a message exchange with someone on youtube describing the same, more or less. I assume you are referring to a homebrew solution?

Yes, this is not a very common connection type. At this time I don’t have a premade cable in store.
