Thank you for heads up.
An interesting decision on Lab599’s part to break compatibility with existing cables.
I’ll keep an eye on the availability of these transceivers. If there are enough of them in the field then I’ll commit to a new cable set.
I guess they changed the jacks because of the new layout. All two jacks on the same side of the radio. If such cables will go to production, it would be nice to have a 3.5mm jack for speaker too. See the attached pin layout of the TX-500MP.

I really want to see the cables for the 500MP.
I use this Radio for about 2 months now. Really like it. It’s a commercial Radio and using it for HamRadio use is sometimes a little tricky
My TX-500 MP is on order. I haven’t looked at the battery manual yet but one thing that I’m curious about is being able to use external 12VDC power while using digital mode.
Sign me up please. Would love to be able to get this radio doing ft8, Js8call, and the rest. The built in tuner, the battery on the back makes it really cool to use.
I’ll be working on cable prototype soon. Will post the updates here.
Please voice your preferences on the length of the cable?
Should it be the standard Digirig coiled cables (see TX-500) or shorter/longer variants?
I can live with any cable length.
Personally I would prefer 30-40cm (around 1feet I think)
Non coiled cables preferred. A coiled cable uses a lot of strengt to the Radio and pulls it over when fully extended.
My 2cents: no need to power the Radio thru the digirig cables.
But, a speaker connector would be great to monitor the signals. There is no built in Speaker in the Radio. And the Mic/speaker port is used by the Radio.
The 500MP can use full 10 watts with the BP-550 Powerpack, and the Powerpack can be charged with USB-C (PD) or solar charge ist with a 5,5x2,5 barrel connector
