Still No Winlink Connections (Pat->Direworlf->RaspPi->DigiRig->UV5R)

I am getting good audio levels (after attenuator hack) for APRS TX/RX via Direwolf 1.8 on my Raspberry Pi connected to my DigiRig Mobile at Baofeng UV5R HT connected to my Baotech VHF Amplifier and a Ground Plane Antenna in my attic. WSJTX seems to be running without issue as well.

I tried to get Winlink to work via Pat using packet ax.25+agwpe but like before PTT is very short and I get no connection. I added below to direwolf.conf, but no change. Any thoughts Baofeng owners that got it to work?

TXDELAY 500 # milliseconds before sending data (key-up delay)
TXTAIL 250 # milliseconds carrier tail after packet
SLOTTIME 10
PERSIST 64
FRACK 3000 # retry timer (3 seconds typical)
MAXFRAME 1 # max outstanding frames (AX.25)
RESPTIME 100
RETRY 5

If you have a Windows pc, try using your radio setup and your digirig with Winlink. If it works, continue debugging your Patlink / raspberry pi setup. Many things can go wrong with these setups and you need to isolate where the problem is.

Recently saw issues with the output on my iPhone, which may seem unrelated but hang with me here, when the volume was too high from my phone my devices would show a very short PTT using digirig mobile and I wasn’t able to use radio mail.

What is your output volume on your raspberry pi? you may be able to get to this running alsamixer on command line

Also out of curiosity which version of the Raspberry Pi are you running, just want to make sure in the future if someone comes across this thread they can maybe match to this information as well.

I am using Raspberry Pi 2 running 32bit OS. I have changed volume settings on the radio and have used alsamixer to change volume settings as well. Got settings for great APRS RX and TX, including comms with ISS, but 2m Winlink still has proven very impossible. If it is volume related, I may not be getting the right mix of TXDELAY and volume mix???
