Hi
I bought a digirig from a guy at work who never used it. Everytime I plug it in it screws up my communications on my laptop. I can’t get it to talk and when I plug my known good digirig it doesn’t work until I reboot the software.
Is there a way to tell if it’s a counterfeit? I suspect it may because I vaguely remember him buying it off eBay.
Thanks Lonnie W0WAL
It’s a possibility, though unlikely.
Feel free to post the pictures of the interface and the PCB inside of the enclosure and I should be able to shed the light on this.
That looks fine. It’s an earlier batch of revision 1.9 before I switched to a smaller custom enclosure.
In what way does it screw up my communications on your laptop? Did you reassign the default audio devices back to your computer’s internal speaker/mic?
The audio part works but the PTT and the CAT don’t work . I used my original one and it works fine. When I use the suspect one sometimes I have to reboot my computer to get my original one to work.
You mentioned making it not default I did not check that I will have to check that and see if that’s causing the problem.
Thank you for verifying that it is real. I will work on it tomorrow night some more.
