I have a Xiego G 90 I want to use with my DigiRig. I have the 8 pin DIN plugged into the jack on the back for the radio. My WSJT-ALERT works for rig control. The program would not let me connect the UART bridge driver which is on COM7. Instead the program works with COM5. I have see the PNP codecs properly , I am see decodes but unable to transmit. Any help would be appreciate.

which digirig are you using?
i’m assuming a digrig mobile with logic levels.

is the g90 in mode: U-D ?
does the radio ‘key up’ but no power output or does the radio not ‘key up’/ptt ?

Yes I am in USB-D mode. I seen a you tube video about using FLRIG for control of WSJT-X. I am going to try that today. Thanks for the reply. Dave NU4N
ok, got the u-d ![]()
i run a g90 and an x5105 with a digirig mobile configured for logic levels.
i use either:
windows pc or laptop running wsjt-x OR samsung S25+ running FT8CN
wsjt-x is configured to control the radio (no middleware such as flrig/omnirig etc)
FT8CN controls the radio on its own as well.
i have PTT method set to CAT/CI-V
(the digirig mobile can also trigger ptt on the g90/x5105 via RTS on the comport)
that’s my troubleshooting checklist
the reason i asked specific questions is that there are bugs in the hamlib ‘updates’ that wsjt-x uses for the xiegu series.
many times, choosing another rig definition will ‘fix’ the problem. if the problem is related to this.
good luck

Dave,
Complimenting the PTT troubleshooting tips from @webmonkey here’s a video on the same subject:
The same Digirig COM port number should be used for CAT and PTT by RTS. As pointed out PTT by CAT is also an option.
I will check out the video today. Thanks for the info. I have the DigiRig mobile and would like to use for rig control on FT8 with FLRIG. But can’t find FLRIG in WSJT-X.
Appreciate all you help gentlemen . DAVE NU4N
Sorry to disturb the group. Finally found FLRIG in WSJT-X. I will try using this for control.
73’s Dave
Thanks to all for the help. I gave up on the DigiRig and went back to my SignaLink.
