I’ve used my digirig/Xiegu G90 successfully for FT8 in the past using flrig. Now when I connect to my PC, I see the new COM port created, but flrig does not see it and fails to connect. What could cause this behavior?
I have the same problem. Flrig can operate PTT. Tune. PRE. ATT. But WSJTX does not connect to com port.
Baud rates and Bits are the same on Com port and G90
Suggestions?

if flrig is ‘working’, you need to choose flrig as the radio in wsjt-x, not g90.
only 1 application can connect to a serial port at any given time.
(this could be the problem with the op as well if another program has been started before flrig that is grabbing control of the comport)

Thanks for these thoughts. Just to be clear it is not a wsjt-x issue as flrig is not finding the transceiver when I hit the “Init” button in the Setup … Xcvr screen. It is not an issue with another application using the port. I understand this and, as I said, this used to work fine. The aproriate COM port shows up in the flrig dropdown. My thought is that the “line” input jack in my G90 may be defective and was hoping that someone would know whether that would cause this behavior. I don’t want to start mucking with the innards of the G90 unless I’m pretty sure thats where the solution lies
