digirig 891 is not attached to /dev/ttyUSBx

There is no serial device in DR-891 itself. Do you connect your Digirig to the computer with the FT-891 connected to DR-891’s downstream USB port?

Yes. I connected as shown on the DR 891 page. Tried with 3 different USB A to C cables. USB 1.0 cable did not work. USB 2.0 cable did not work. Cable defective ? With new USB 3.1 (Orange color), Digirig 891 works fine.
