Hello! Does anyone know if I can just use a DigiRig with a Baofeng HT cable and use it for JS8Call/FT8? It’s a pretty recent version which just has a 2 port K1 interface unlike other ones I’ve seen here with 3 ports. Could I also use the direct-to computer cables with the front headphone and mic ports? I assume I may have to use the built-in VOX?
Yes, the black K1 cable from Baofeng kit should do the trick. Please follow up when you have a change to try it out.
i don’t have that one but i’ve got the older one.
the ‘kenwood’ style spk/mic jack is/was standard wired on my older rig so i ‘assume’ it’s standard on that rig as well.
so, yes, the baofeng uv-5r digirig audio+PTT cable should should work just fine.
