I am using digirig on an Ubuntu 20.04 box running Direwolf for APRS.
Everything works fine but I noticed one thing strange about setting the volume.
Direwolf when it receives APRS will show the volume and if it is very low or very high it will ask you to adjust the volume of the incoming message to 50.
I noticed if I adjust the volume using the knob on the radio, this happens with both a GT5R and a FT-65, just a minute amount maybe a degree or two the volume can jump from a 4 to 199. The volume control for the digirig on the computer seems to have a normal sensitivity.
I am using digirig cables for both radios
I am just curious is that level of sensitivity of changes to volume from the radio normal?
