What Are the Green Cables Used For?

I have five DigiRig devices and have never used the green cable. What is the green cable used for? What capability am I missing? The radios I’m using these with are the FTM-150RASP, FT5D HT, TH-D75 HT, TH-D72 HT, FT-891, TM-D710GA and some Bao Fengs. I’m searching but don’t see anything that really answers.

for a radio that does not support remote control such as CAT/CI-V, the green cable is used to program memory channels DEPENDING on the radio supporting that feature.

so instead of running chirp with a usb to serial cable on a baofeng, you can just use the green cable with the digirig mobile since it has a serial/comport.

obviously the digirig lite doesn’t so a green cable wouldn’t work this way.
