What to buy for IC-7000 to laptop running WSJTx

I just learned about DigiRig and after scanning the site it looks like the best solution for the mobile shack, laptop (WSJTx) and an IC-7000. I can see I need the Digirig Mobile. Which CAT-Config? At the IC-7000 cable selection page there are 4 cables. ICOM IC-7000 – digirig Which is right? This radio has both the MiniDIN and the 13-pin jack.. Any help is appreciated. 73

Hi @W4AWI:

Per @K0TX post you’ll be all set.

To answer your question about the difference of the IC-7000 having both a 6 pin MiniDIN DATA jack and a 13 pin DIN ACC jack:

The DATA jack allows both 1200 and 9600 bps (using the 9600 bps on pin 4) data rate over the air (not the speed between the radio and the DR Mobile) connection to a node, while the ACC only allows 1200 bps node connections. In theory the 9600 baud will allow for faster transfers, but in practice at least in my area, there are few 9600 nodes to connect to, and distance negatively affects the 9600 bps transfer rate.

Here are the pinouts for each of the jacks:

I have both the DR DATA and ACC factory cables for my IC-7000, and other than the potential data rate differences I’ve noted, they both work great.

Here is the link for the DR 6 pin MiniDIN DATA cable should you wish:
