Windows 10/Digirig/FT-891/ACLog

Problem: I cannot connect my FT-891 to Digirig and ACLog.

  • WSJT-X connects fine, and I am able to change frequencies using the slider bar in WSJT-S and by manually changing it on the radio.

  • When I try to load ACLog and setup the rig controls I am not able to find the proper settings. WSJT-X is using COM6 and CAT is using COM4. In the Setttings I am told that I cannot use COM6.

  • If I unplug the Digirig I am able to get the ACLog settings where the rig will change frequencies. If I plug the Digirig back in, so I can have all working together I receive the COM6 error.

  • What am I missing? Any helpful hints are welcomed!

I’m still not able to SAVE the rig settings in ACLog. I receive a message that Polling still in process.

Also, I plugged the Digirig back in, and it will not recognize the port. Digirig worked perfectly with WSJT-X after I rebooted the computer.

serial ports cannot be ‘shared’.
so 1 serial port, 1 application.

there is software that will ‘split’ a serial port into 2 ‘virtual’ serial ports and allow 2 applications to use 1 serial port via the 2 ‘virtual’ serial port numbers.

good luck
