Winlink unable to open com port for digirig

I connect to the rms daily, using a SignaLink or an IC-7300 internal sound card… I’m just trying to get the digirig to work. I’ve used it in the past, but it’s been a while.

So, I know I can reach the station . Recently, we moved the station 20 miles further away, but can reach it through a digipeater. That works with an Alinco (50W) with internal TNC, the 7300, and signalink. The Alinco ias out of service and I’m trying with a 25W Leixen v898. That’s less reliable with the SignaLink, but it works. The digirig is not transmitting, so Ii'm not sure.
I’m going to try the mobile in the pickup tomorrow to see if 50W makes a difference. I’ll also fuss with TXD.

It’s working. I hadn’t used the leixen in a couple of years. Somehow the squelch was set too high–it needs to b e 0. Settings confirmed here worked (although I don’t remember that from prior use)… I set TXD back to 400.

I swear I tried this before with no luck, but using a different USB port fixed the COM busy problem.
