Xiegu G90 Transceiver not responding! Check serial (COM) port

May I jump in here? I also cannot connect to the radio, but it’s because my Windows 10 says there are no drivers installed.

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

Can you direct me to the correct drivers?

Never mind…found the drivers on the DigiRig site and all is well!

Thx,

I’m at my wits end with this. I’m have the exact same issue as described at the start of this thread on my Xiegu G90. “Transceiver not responding! Check serial (COM) port connections…” just as shown in the first message of this thread.

I have watched every video, and done all the setting recommendations, still nothing.
Matched my baud rate at 19200
Made sure the input on the radio was “line”
2 stop bits
Adjusted the sound levels repeatedly

No comms with Flrig, WSJTX or VARA HF.

  • My Digirig is rev. 1.10

Updated all the software below to the versions shown:

  • VARA FM v4.8.9 (the meter shows no sound being received)
  • WSJTX v 2.7
  • FLRig v 1.4.8 (Same COM error as shown in the image at the start of the thread)devicsnip

Any suggestions on what i can try next?

From the screenshot of WSJT-X it looks like your setup has passed the CAT test, has it not?
As far as audio is concerned, make sure mode is set to U-D.

Thanks for the reply. After testing the cables, and watching a million videos on the set up, I finally tried the obvious–a reimage of the laptop I was using, then only install FLRig and WSJTX to see what would happen. The two finally started talking to each other!
So while I can’t say I know what the cause was, it must have been a conflict somewhere on my system.
Not a satisfying solution, but at least I’m on the air now!
