Hello all! I have the 2980 with the appropriate cable. Will the dr allow me to program this radio with RT systems or CHIRP?
you’ll have to homebrew a cable to go from the serial jack of the digirig to whatever the 2980 uses for programing.
a google search shows the mic jack of the radio.
so a TRRS to rj? mic plug wired to match the lines up.
the audio+ptt cable for digirig to radio will not plug into the serial jack of the digirig and provide the proper pin to pin i’m pretty sure.
i’m guessing you’re asking about a digirig mobile.
a dr-891 with accy kit and the rt systems cable would work but more complicated than just using the rt systems cable alone.
