Yaesu FT-100D: what do I need for FT-8 operation?

hello everyone,i am new on FT8,i dont know what to buy as equipment with my FT100D.i already have an FC-20 Auto tuner .W10 as O/s.Can you advise me what intrface,cable i need? thanks.Gervais ve2ckn

hummm.but i am also using the Yeasu FC-20 automatic Antenna tuner,i am not sure i will be able to connect the Digirig cable???

If the serial connection is optional. If it is occupied by the tuner cable, you can still use Digirig with just an audio connection. You’ll just need to set the radio to the operating frequency manually.

FT-8 is new for me,i have to idea what are the frequencies si i want to keep my tuner for the moment.what software is recommanded these days for FT8 ?

The software you’ll need for FT8 is called WSJT-X:

The software lists the operating frequencies for various bands in its user interface.

thanks denis,well i think of selling all my things here including my FC20 and my ATAS100 and find a new radio with the FT8 hardware include n the radio.

i have no idea what radio can be baught but my budget is not open as the Gov :slight_smile: .

well,yes there are some,not that my FT100D is not good in fact i made a contact in Europe and my G5RV Junoir with just 55 watts but maybe i am good for a more recent model and a desktop too.73/s Gervais ve2ckn
