Yaesu FT-90R with Yaesu RJ-12 cable not transmitting

I have a Digirig Yaesu RJ-12 Cable with a Digirig Mobile. I’m trying to make it work on an Yaesu FT-90R. I get audio in on VaraFM but I cannot get it to transmit. I checked continuity on the cable per the schematic and all the connections have continuity where they are sapposed to. Is there any tricks on the FT-90R that I should be aware of?

Does the radio key up if you short the pins on the Digirig’s end of the cable as demonstrated here?

Sorry I missed your reply! When I ground out the 2 rings it does key up the FT-90R and it displays Packet.

The cable is fine then. Let’s look at the software you are using and PTT configuration in it.
