When connected CAT control works just fine. However when connected to PKT port for audio the radio will go in to TX. If using HRD. As normal Yaesu radios require RTS. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

That’s frustrating. I don’t own your radio, but I will try to understand your situation. What cables are you using? How is HRD configured? What digital mode are you sending? How is receive on that mode?

you’ll probably need to have a custom cable wired up.
6 pin mini din packet port on one end and trrs on the other without the ptt line connected.
i don’t have your rig but i’m guessing it is able to ptt via cat command and ptt via serial rts is not needed.
