I’m hoping someone has this exact combination working.
My setup:
- Yaesu FTM-150
- DigiRig Mobile with the official FTM-150 cable (rear 10-pin DATA port)
- Windows 11
- Dire Wolf + PinPoint APRS
- Winlink Express + SoundModem
Here’s what’s confusing:
- I receive APRS perfectly.
- Dire Wolf decodes nearby stations without any issues.
- The radio keys normally and the RF power meter shows output.
- I can hear my packet burst on another receiver.
- PinPoint is connected to Dire Wolf over KISS.
- Winlink sends connection requests, but every RMS ends with “Disconnect Reported.”
- APRS packets only appear on aprs.fi when they’re sent over TCP/IP. No RF iGate seems to hear my transmitted packets.
Current radio settings:
- DATA BAND: B-BAND FIX
- DATA SPEED: 1200
- 144.390 on the B band for APRS
- 145.610 on the B band for Winlink testing
- High power
- No tones
I’ve spent most of today troubleshooting and feel like I’m down to one small issue. Has anyone here successfully used an FTM-150 with a DigiRig Mobile for APRS or Winlink? If so, I’d really appreciate seeing your Dire Wolf, SoundModem, or radio DATA settings.
