Cable Connections for KX3 w/ KXPA100

Hello,

Has anyone successfully set up their digirig with a KX3 & KXPA100? I have mine on order with the KX3 cables but have not experimented with it yet?

And, the KXPA100?

I imagine that will have to be manually activated because the KXPACBL is disconnected?

I actually don’t usually use it for digital anyway.

What connections do you need for connecting the PA?
If it’s ACC1 (serial CAT) then you can either use radio without CAT control (PTT by RTS), use pass-through if PA offers that or come up with a Y-splitter for serial port.

Happened upon this. I’ve been using my KX3 and KXPA100 combo for some time. Cables between the KX3 and Amp as usual. Use the serial port on the DigiRig to the RS232(PC) connector on the amplifier. MAKE sure the DigiRig is configured for RS232 use. Lots of contacts on FT8 since getting my DigiRig.

Is this the correct way to connect the KPA100 , KX3 and Digirig modem ?
Not turned on yet :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
The black connector from the digirig (normaly connected to the kx3) now connected to the KPA100 RS232

Looks okay without getting my KX3/KPA100 out to configure for digital use. Sorry, I can’t find my notes on the routing of cables. Been using my Yaesu FT-891 this past year for digital portable.
