On Winlink Express, the vara FM through the Digirig to my dual band UHF VHF Anytone Radio works great. However, I still have trouble truying to get Packet working. I have the serial port set to TCP as recommended. I cannot trigger anything on the radio. If I set the serial port to Com6, it triggers the radio as if transmitting but no audio goes through. My PC is on Windows 11.
Are you using soundmodem by UZ7HO? I use that on Win11 successfully.
Since you have PTT working, you are very close to success.

Soundmodem by UZ7HO handles the audio for packet session just like Vara FM handles the audio for vara fm session in Winlink.

Yes, I am using UZ7HO SOundMOdem114. I was thinking something in the Windows 11 settings might be stopping it but I have not found out what.
I get the PTT working when the serial port is set to COm6 but not when using TCP
Have you tried these settings described in this thread?

Success! Getting Winlink Express Packet has been a journey. However, there were several issues preventing the program from triggering the Anytone dual band radio. I had to remove then download the UZ7HO sound modem. I also re downloaded the Silicon labs ports. Next, somehow Opera Search Engine got on my PC(using Windows 11). This prevented me from opening Winlink templates to attach to emails. You can’t just “uninstall” it. I contacted Microsoft technical and one of its techs spent some time but managed to get it off my PC then I could at least draft emails and attach templates. Now, I still had to get the program to trigger the radio. I have 2 USB connections to my PC. One is a USB A which is a direct connection to my Ftldx10. The other is a USB C which is the Digirig going to my Anytone VHF/UHF radio.
The USB A to my Ftdx10 uses Com Port 4. The USB C to the Anytone uses Com port 6. What I learned is that I have to disconnect the USB A to the PC then I can trigger the transmitter on the Amytone through the Digirig USB C connection. This Digirig is also used for vara Fm to the Anytone radio and that works just fine without the USB A to the Ftdx10 being disconnected.
I was thinking there is some conflict with the UZ7HO sound modem and the com ports. However, I have it all working now.
Thanks for all the earlier advice you all sent. Very helpful.
