Ok you show 2 cables for Kenwood HF, what one should I get to try out with HF VARA?

The kit includes both cables. 13 pin cable will give you the required functionality (audio + PTT). It is worth also trying DB9 cable to see if you can make optional serial CAT control working better than it was in my attempt.
